Hi Violet,
Looks like I got back here just in time, lol. I have a beautiful lavender-pink one that is about 8 feet tall in my greenhouse right now. I left a small plant in the yard(covered with a trash can) to see if it would survive thorough our winter here in Ga. I could send you a couple of unrooted cuttings for postage if you would like. There are tons of stuff I am just dying for, but no more room unless of course you have an unusual vine you could share a piece of. Let me know,
Jackie

Thanks Jackie,

I messaged you. I'm still looking for seeds if anyone has some to share.

:)

Jackie, I'd love to have some pieces of this, if you have plenty. E-me and I'll direct you to my trade list, or I'll gladly send postage. And I would love to know later on if it did survive the winter, and what your coldest temps were.

am curious, i identified mine as the I carnea fistulosa not arborescens.... is there one i am missing? does seem like different websites call them different things.

Bush Morning Glory (Ipomoea carnea ssp. fistulosa) is smaller (rarely exceeds 10').

While the Tree Morning Glory (Ipomoea arborescens) can reach 30' in height.

Wow, bet they are pretty, wonder if they work in my zone...30 feet and the flowers are white?

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

Arlene, it's me Dee, yes the grow (like a weed) in our climate. I have one, it got to about 12', my mothers was about 15'. The flowers on it are a pale lavender with darker center. It doesn't like the cold, so I cut it back and moved it to the greenhouse. Dee

Dee, i think that is the carnea fistulosa, but maybe i am wrong....i have those, they are really pretty when they start putting out groups of flowers....look at my #2 link above, sounds like the same thing i have. gotta find more pics of the arborescens...

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

Arlene, it really doesn't look like either one (at least the one I have). The flower looks like the second link, but the stalk looks like the first link, however, the leaves look just like the morning glory leaves. I have tried to find pictures of what mine looks like but haven't yet. Maybe if I go out and use webferret I might find more. Will have to try. Dee
