We're happily munching on rolls I just took out of the oven. Yum-m-m! I think Shad put honey and p.b. on his. I haven't made bread or rolls for some time. I make multigrain using Trumps high gluten, freshly ground whole wheat & rye flours, corn meal and oatmeal in the dough. Honey & or sweet sorhgum sweetens and helps the yeast grow. Good stuff, Maynard. I only make buns like 'burger buns & dinner rolls now because we don't eat enough for even mini loaves of bread to keep. I even made some tiny mini rolls for elderly friends who are diabetic and only need small amounts of carbohydrates in a meal. I really need to watch them or they'll overbake in a hurry.
I was able to go outside and do the poultry chores myself this morning without discomfort. I'm still just tired most of the time.
I hope to work in the plantroom more today as well as going after my paycheck and getting it in the bank. Shad has Scouts tonight so I'll be busy all afternoon and evening.
