Found a bud!!!!!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I'm so excited. I was repotting an Insignus Pink tonight that had out grown it's pot. After looking closely at it I noticed it had started to Y and there are small buds on it. Just hope it's not too hot and dry in the house for it to flower but they all seem to be growing ok.I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

This is great, the more buds and flowers everyone gets the better choices of pollen doners we have.Doesen't it feel great to live up north and get buds and flowers! In the winter!See,we don't need to be in the south.(We really do, but I'm trying to make us northerners feel better!)

Your plants look so good snow - I bet you'll get a lot of flowers before the winters over.

Cala, This is my 2nd bloom out of all my plants.Had one from Arlene bloom last year which was my first year with brugs.Arlene's going to be a grandma again as this is also one of her cuttings. CC keep your fingers crossed it's not too dry with the woodstove. Have them in the furthest corner where it's cooler.Poppy, I hope so. It would be great to have a whole sunporch full of blooms.

Snowhermit, to increase the humidity fill a tray with pebbles, add water and set the pot on the pebbles. Be sure the pebbles are holding the pot up out of the water. You can also use a spray of plain water and mist the leaves a couple of times a day to increase the humidity.

Such joy! Snow, i think they'll be just fine. cala has good ideas about this, and even if you just water til there is water in the plates under the pots that's a help. bet you will have a pile of spring blooms!

Great going Snow!! Hope you post a picture when she blooms. Love it when Arlene is a Grandma again. Wonder how many that makes now for her?
