Matricaria

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I received some matricaria seed in a swap but I don't know what it is. Can anyone give me the common name, is it annual or perennial, sun or shade? I can't find it in my gardening books. Thanks..............................Betty

According to J L Hudson catalog it is also called mayweed aand German Chamomile. andis of the daisy family. If you got matricara chamomilla it is an annual preferring full sun. white daisylike flowers 2ft. can be sown where to stand barely cover germinates in 1-2 weeks seed viable for 3 years blooming in about 16 weeks. do yu have a Hudson catalog=page50 i also got some in a trade.
