Need help from all of the brug experts in here...

I recently bought some brug seeds, Sweet Knight Brugmansia, and would be grateful for any tips or hints on growing them from seed. For instance, what type of medium should I use to plant them in???

Tinkerbell I think there's a little confusion as to wether or not your seeds are truly brugmasia. They may be datura. The seed companies confuse the two so often it's hard to know what you have. Can you tell us where you got them? Do the seeds have a woody cork-type seedcoat on them?

Hi Poppysue, I bought them from www.seedman.com and yes they do have a woody cork-type seedcoat. Please, don't tell me I have datura instead.:( I was so looking forward to finally having an angel trumpet.

No ... sounds like brug seeds. First I think most of the info you'll need is on this page http://home.att.net/~perennials/seeds.html Some say peel the seed coat off and others say they don't bother. On my seeds I peel them if the seeds are large and easy to handle. The smallers ones I just plant. I've had some seeds sprout up with a couple weeks and others seem to be taking longer. Bottom heat is good if you can give it. Good luck with them. Keep us updated on how they do.
