Is that 'arla'? Tithonia species?? I think I tried growing it once, and found it is day length sensitive, and the frost got it before it bloomed... John
Yes it is Arla (Tithonia sp.). The flowers I posted on the photos forum are from this fall. I had them in two different places. Full sun and plenty of water is best.
Good, I haven't completely lost it... My seeds were from a lady Sara Bezaire from Oaxaca, and also carried by J. L. Hudson. I never did get flowers , but leaves were soft as can be...
I never got flowers the first year either, but this year sure made up for it and they have a great smell. My plants are still there, they didn`t die down but I`m going to cut them back anyway.
