Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Jodie we've hardly had any snow either - just a couple of inches that have melted away. A very strange season. Last night it hardly dipped below 30º. I keep thinking the longer the snow & cold weather hold off... the faster spring will get here!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Hi Jodie,

Here is Iowa, we usually have a foot or more of snow. Last year by this time we had 28 inches and received about that much more by the end of January. This year, we have not had measurable snow yet. If all the flurries were lumped together, we would still have had less than an inch of the white stuff. This week we had temps as high as 65 degrees, but today it is pretty cold. Rain/snow mix tomorrow night, but nothing big coming our way yet. Strange year all over. Especially in the SE US.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

They say we have a chance of 2-4" tonight mixed with a little freezing rain. But the grass is green. I don't think we have had 10'" total yet. Has been high 49's - low 50's but really getting cold tonight..

On Vancouver Island, BC the sun is shining, and the temperature is 58 degrees F. at almost 3pm. We have had no winter at all, only a few nights with light frost. Spring will be here very soon. Gotta love it.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Clear blue sky here in Vancouver - same temps as brugcrazy - sailboats and kayakers out in front of the house. Heard on the weather report this morning that El Nino might be making a comeback by fall. The water's warming already.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

This year, we've had more cold than usual. We've had 5" of snow. This week, warm again. It was in the 40's today with a low of 24. Sounds like North America has been turned upside down!! Can't believe it's warmer in Maine than here.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Today was in the 40's,just below frezing at night.Last year at this time we had over 100 inches of snow, this year- 14 inches and its all gone!Just worried about getting hit hard later! We got a 3 foot snow storm a few years ago,on March 13th,Its suppose to be spring by then.

Biel, Switzerland(Zone 7a)

We finally warmed up to about 35° today, but the streams and parts of the lake are still frozen solid.Last year this time,I had Fuschias and Pineapple Sage still blooming..this year they bit the dust in November!Greece and Turkey have had more snow than we had in our little part of Switzerland..go figure.

Gilmer, TX

Warm in NE Texas today, a very light frost on the windshield this morning. We had one day in the 20s, but
mostly, it's still warm and sunny. I'm not even mentioning snow because we don't get it.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Just looked and it's 30 degrees out. We must be having a heat wave. Temps been up and down for a couple of weeks.0 degrees one night and the next in the twenties. Very erratic. Still have a foot of snow on the ground with flurries off and on all week.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

65 degrees here in Alvin TX (20 miles south of Houston). It was a beautiful day and I worked outside mostly - couldn't resist the perfect sunny weather. This is the way that so many of our days are. Warm one day = 40 degrees the next.

Frannie,
Looks like your weather is coming here tomorrow....suppose to get about 65º tomorrow....nice.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Just heard our local news and our weather is about to change. We had our share of flurries today and even some freezing rain but tonight and tomorrow we're supposed to get hit with a whopper of a storm. Around 12" in my area and Eastern Maine is supposed to get the brunt of it with some places getting 2FT of snow.

Snow,
Stay in and keep warm.....we'll be here tomorrow to keep you company.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Thanks Glory. If we get that much snow I'll have to wait for DH to get home and snow blow to even get to the mail box.Used to love to snow shoe and tramp through the snow but since I hurt my back I'm afraid of falling and doing worse damage so I just stay inside. Guess I'm a real snowhermit. LOL

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Yup! calling for snow today. It stayed in the high 30s all last night. Doesn't seem cold enough to snow but I guess they expect the temps to drop.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

WOW,you guys are gunna get nailed,I panicked when I saw you guy talking about snow, turned on the weather channel and-its gunna miss us!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I don't think it will be too bad here. It's gonna start off as rain & then change over around noon time. I think they said 4-8 in my area. I knew it would come sooner or later! Worked all night so I'm going to bed anyhow. i'll leave the digging out up to DH.

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

I don't think I want to talk about all this cold. I had snow flurries when I wnet back to work on Jan 3. It has been so cold. I put a little heater in the greenhouse. Hubby said that he would rather pay electric bill than go back down to Florida Keys to buy more replacement plants. We didn't much care for the Keys, but would like their weather right about now. The last couple of days have been pretty warm, 60's to 73 on Thurs. Now that is what I call a winter. All the old timers around here are saying that we will be whopped with some real cold in Feb. Hope not. Need to have some warm so I can start growing seeds. Imagine snow in Florida, just isn't right. Like Calla said I think we have been turned upside down. Dee

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Well, still have green grass, don;t know where are 2-4" went, but it was not here. It was sunny and 40's today. Atleast its green grass and not brown.
