Zany sent me a hens and chicks and I noticed this morning that it has a baby. I guess Zany is a new grandmother and I don't know what that makes me.
My question is how do I remove this baby to make a new plant. It is about an inch long now. My DIL was here and wanted me to pot it for her. Should I wait until it is larger or try it now?

You can do this now if you want. Make a little trench for the stem, set the baby on the dirt and cover the stem. Should do fine.
