I have a question. What if we cross the Becca Lynn that seems to have quite a bit of green in it (and green is yellow and blue, right?) with pink which is a dilute red gene? Would there be a possibility of purple or lilac? Or would the green/dilute red give us dilute brown (tan)? Could we work from there to bring out more of the red/blue genes or would the blue be forever attached to the yellow always making green? Years ago I worked a little with African violets and Iris, but we were trying to get pure red from purple. There is still no pure red in either. I was just thinking (which is dangerous for me).
green and pink
I like when you are becoming dangerous *lol*
In Datura Anthocyanin control color ... if the plant and flower become green /stramonium) or purple/lillac (tatula).

I will do some more research.

I was reading that many brugs look green when blooming,or another odd color,or may be much smaller than normal,at certin times of the year,It said don't get rid of a brug untill you've seen it bloom at different times of the year.It said thats why many brugs are double and triple named by mistake.
Glory, but if it is showing "green" it has to have some blue in there somewhere.
What I mean is, it has it to start with, does it get diluted or covered up? If the green color is there, there is blue, but could be such a small amount, the white dilutes it or it is unstable and the blue looks white.

Cala,
You wannna repete that? LOL
Crestedchik-you are quite right, My DxS M is very light cream some months and others it has a nice dark orange yellow. Shades anywhere inbetween are to be expected as well with that hybrid. Shape is nice, tendril length great-seed production above average. Of course I like the DxS L and DxS R as well as their color is a bit more vibrant throughout the year, but their flower shape is not quite as good as DxS M.
