Lookin' Good!! I'm jealous....
this is so much fun. lol. i am hooked. it smells mild and lemony i could be wrong i have sinus going on right now darnit and my nose is off. i counted all my seedlings (isabella seed) i got from trade i have 63 only half of them are repotted. i have to sit down tonight and make some paper pots. pots are a big shortage for me that and room i need a bigger greenhouse. lol.
How do you make paper pots?
i saw one of those seed cup starter thingy at i think johnny's seed site it is made out of wood and cost a fortune so i use a cup, fold news paper, roll paper around cup twist the end tuck it under and pull off cup i wish i can remember where i found those directions but it is real easy to make i am going to try to modify it around a coffee can to see if i can make them large enough for a brug seedling. it should hold up till i can move it into a real pot or in the ground. then when you tranplants it you bury the paper pot and all. i've used them on and off this season they work well.
Sounds like a neat idea post a pic.
There's directions here http://www.rebeccasgarden.com/howto/items/98cell11.html

I've made them using a TP roll to wrap the newspaper around. They work better than peat pots. Cheaper too.

I did this once but I had the brilliant idea that I would TAPE the loose end .DUH! as soon as they got wet the tape fell off and the pots fell apart. Maybe I didn't use long enough peices to give it stability. But I did receive 5 Paw Paw trees in pots made in this manner and they held together durring shipping. When I made them I used all different size containers as molds.Ex. Shaving cream can,soup,etc...
thanks for posting the directions poppysue. i think it is such a neat idea. the hardenst part is sitting bent over for so long while making them. i don't just make a few i fill up boxes for future use. i also use masking tape to hold the open end together, seems to hold up.
