Really Fresh Seeds

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I opened the JO pod that I picked the other day and shook out some more seed. The daddy is either FP or EP. I planted 20 of the seeds in two different pots to see how they do and was thinking of maybe trying some in the colchicine, but don't want to waste it.
Does anybody want to try some of these seed to see how they do? Will it hurt them to freeze in the mail?

Congratulations Jen. I need to do something about my smoking too. Just haven't made up my mind to do it yet.

Calalily, I would like to try a few of your seeds. I can't resist. I love these plants and would love to have 100's of them. :-) Now if I could just have more room to keep them.
PLMK.

Calalily,

Any left ?

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Any left for me???

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

OK, I've got enough or everybody above, need to double check how many are left in the pod before I promise any more. Now keep in mind that these were picked a little early and don't know how good the germination will be but it's worth a try I guess.

Cala, did the seeds darken out of the pod? i tried all kinds of experiments with seeds including scattering seeds, planting straight out of the pod, not so ripe seeds, etc, and (don't laugh) did it all outside, starting over a month ago. i recently read on earl's site to NEVER let them freeze, guess i'll email him. not sure if they are ruined or maybe delays germination. I also found one JO pod, was smaller than most of the JO pods, that was completely dried up, like a lima bean on a bush, the seeds were very dark and looked good to me (still an amateur here), have send a few of these out, will see. they definitely aren't rotten. Still have what i think will be some of the best seeds of my own in vases, stretching out the seed pod adventure.

here's a link i found at earl's showing many seed pods, just found this the other day. http://valleygrow.com/

Liz, write to Flowox and give her your addy and stuff and she'll send you all the ones she has. Lots of people in in and it's good to have if you just want to send a surprise or like me, set up a trade and delete the email where the addy is!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Thanks tiG - guess I have to get out and about more!

I can see that I am at the bottom of the toten pole - but I couldn't resist. If you have one lonely seed left, save it for me. Frannie

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Frannie, send me your addy, I have some just for you.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

OK, I've got a few over a hundred. I will split them up evenly between the ones who have asked. They are MsJen, Greenleaf, Redrose, Catlady, MiniSn,Waterloo, Busybee, Joydie and Frannie. Liz, were you wanting some seeds also? And TiG, I wasn't sure if you wanted seeds or not. Everybody should get at least 10 seeds to start with and as more pods ripen, I will share them too.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Cala, I would love some, but please share these with all the above. I've been so blessed. I didn't ask cause I thought these were what you gave me last week. Thanks for thinking of me :)

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

TiG, they are from a different plant.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

maybe 2 or 3? I just want the others to have some too.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

There was method to my madness Cala! What would you do with a bunch of stamps with beavers and bears and old dead english guys?? LOL

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Why I would send them to Canadians for brug seeds, lol. Our green house managers son collects stamps and he loves it when I have a foreign trade.
