Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Hello farmers. It is another snowy day, about 25* and no wind. We have about 6 inches of new snow and it is still comming down. Hubby helped me with chores this morning and has been plowing snow ever since. The neighbor came over and asked for a tow so now he has gone to do that. Then we are headed for town as soon as we can get out of our driveway. My sister and I are finally exchanging Christmas gifts today since she had to come to town. We meet in the middle since she lives out of town the other direction. When I get home from that I will go help the neighbor splint the calf's leg. Then it will be time to do evening chores. Yesterday we made a quick trip up to another neighbor's place about 5 miles away and made a happy discovery, they had cross country skis and boots for sale. So I have a pair of skis and boots that fit, just need to find some poles so I want to check at the thrift store for those today. I never did any cross country skiing before but it doesn't look difficult and I can get a good workout while having some fun. Have a good day everyone, count your blessings.
