Received 42 packages of seed, it's Christmas from June 2000!

Way back in June, 2000, I sent someone in Florida some USA stamps for SASE for seeds. The stamps I sent were 2 x 22c, 2 x 33c, 2 x 55c. So a total of over $2.00 worth of stamps. Never heard from her, but did not worry, shrugged the whole thing off.

Today March 14, 2001, I received 42 packages of seeds from this same person. OH MY GOD!! Yes 42 packages of seeds, there were about 10 different types of seeds x 3 or 4 packages of the same types. They all had 10c stamped as 'marked down' on each package so she has spent over $4.20 in seed packages plus $1.85 in postage!

I tried to email her to thank her for her generosity, her email does not exist anymore.

BUT who needs 4 package of Zinnia or Allysum etc? I have decided to donate the extras to the Girl Guides and to my darling granddaughter's kindergarten class.

So if you have trades pending, do not give up, one day your 'ship will come in' and you too will have 42 packages of seeds!

I will be writing to her 'snail mail' to thank her.

Hi Karma, The convention just 'blew my mind'. It was so well organized - still they have been doing it for 20 years so by this time would be organized.

I could not beleive how many people were there but I never felt that I was crowded. Only once did I have to line up for the toilet!!

It is the largest in population Sewing convention in the world - the largest in size of venue is in Toronto, Canada so they told us.

I spent a fortune but want to go back next year. Great fun you must go, you only live around the corner!
