any info on these?

I have a couple of brugs that no one mentions and would like to know if anyone knows the parentage or color, anything. Cherokee and Sir Robert (have also heard him called Mr. Robert)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

oops, also Apricot Moonflower. It is a brug, not datura.

tiG,
Mr Roberts and Apricot Moonflower are LBJ Hybrids...I have both but Mr Roberts has never bloomed. Apricot Moonflower is a Versicolor.... looks a lot like Versicolor Peach but has larger leaves and is a later bloomer. Check with Jackie on the Cherokee....I believe it is one that looks like an Insignis pink....not 100% sure on the Cherokee.

thanks, seems like she told me that Cherokee has a red rim? (close anyway) I think the Blush is the pink. Still holding out for pictures!! LOL! maybe if I move them into the Class A group and talk to them nicer they'll bloom for me, huh?? LOL!

tiG,
If your Mr. Roberts ever blooms please let me know what it looks like....it has one more year to bloom at my house and then out it goes.

Gloria,

Why don't they have them listed on their site? Do they not grow them anymore or what? Sounds like something some people might like to have. Cherokee sounds interesting tiG, so you better move em up to "First Class" (A).

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Yup tig, move them up to class A so they will bloom and we can all see pictures of it.

Simple rule of thumb-if it doesn't bloom within its first year I generally toss em if they are seedlings...though not always. If its a cutting I expect blooms within the first few months excepting of course flava, vucanicola, sanguinea, arborea type cuttings which of course I would simply be happy if I got them to live for more than 3 years in florida.
