Whew, don't know what he did, but it's working properly. NO SOOT!! He took the pipe apart again, reattached it, taped the joints and voila.....it's working properly. No bad smell, no smoke or fumes and best of all no more soot. Guess it was just celebrating New Years Eve in it's own way. I didn't have to go to Atlanta, so I worked/played in the Jungle House. It was really nice, about 72*, the sun was shining and all is well.
**I think it was the prayers that worked, not anything we did**
ITS FIXED!!
Hi, Suzie! We just got back in from camping over the New Year and I saw your heater problem. Glad it is ok now. Billy said it had to be your air shutter on burner stopped up probably spider web or dirt dobber or whatever. Glad you are back in the tropics again! Happy New Year.
Dogs! Wish I had seen your first post b4 now. Just out of curiosity, did DH clean out the burner tubes somewhere along the line? I have to do that every yr.
Susie, I'm so glad to hear all is well in the GH - I had lots of thoughts and prayers aimed your way today :)
I know the prayers helped. All he did was take everything back apart and put it together again. He checked the tubes and they were clean. Maybe bumping around was what dislodged whatever was stopping it up. It is drawing properly and heating fine now. Thanks all ((((()))))))
