Well its time for me to recover my greenhouse. what a job. I want to put pvc panels on it but can't afford that for now so every January we recover it with plastic. Only cost about 30 dollars but boy what a job. I can hardly wait though to get in there and get some peppers and tomatoes started next month. Mine is 12 ft by 12ft and 8 ft tall. my dh built it forme befoe his last 2 back surgeries. Getting the plastic on is a job but I can get help from family and friends. I have a 8ft work table with sink and running water. It is quite a mess right now. Not reall fancy but it gets the job done. I ususally heat it with an electric heater. that way no fumes to bother my asthma or the plants.
Time to clean up greenhouse
Good luck! Your greenhouse sounds great. Last year was the first for my greenhouse, covered with plastic also - I was just starting to wonder about recovering it. I know it's a lot of work, but definitely worth it, hang in there!

JCF, have you tried UV treated plastic especially made for a green house? Sometimes the green house supply places will have left over pieces that would fit your small green house or they will cut a piece small enough for you. It will last 4 years if you take care of it. It costs more in the beginning, but will save you money in the long run.
Still waiting to cover that greenhouse. I have got everything needed. I got my dirt and seeds ready. Gonna put in a hot water heater too so I can clean things better. I am about to go crazy waiting to get in there. Maybe this week. Hope so.
Well here it is the 11th and still haven't covered that greenhouse. tuesday i got it all cleaned up and ready to cover. wednesday hurt to bad tocover it from work on tuesday. If the wind is calm in the morning we are going to getit done. I am really anxious to get things started.
Calla Is right - spend the little extra and get the UV treated film, otherwise the sun will just rot it out, as you have found out!
