Hello all! I recently moved to Buffalo, NY, (Zone 6b). My new home has a small (about 15'x25') back yard, and I would like to put in garden beds around the perimeter. Although I'm not new to gardening, I have always lived in spaces with existing garden beds, so I'm uncertain about what shape to cut in and whether I should dig the whole thing now or just do part of it. If anyone has any suggestions as to the shape (or inexpensive apps I can use to help me envision the shape), I would welcome your advice. This is a south facing lawn, but the garages throw lots of shade. Most of the yard gets about 5 hours of sun per day. Any suggestions would be very welcome.
