Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Arlene,

I just started a couple months ago collecting brugs. I don't have any to trade but would be willing to give $ for some seeds if possible. Thanks either way. God Bless, Deb

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Arlene, No one would ever think you were tacky. You are one of the most generous people here.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Snow, feels funny...... BTW ALL THE MAIL I THOUGHT GOT SENT DIDN'T!!! TIG, BRUGMAN, GONE2SEED, CAN'T REMEMBER WHO ELSE!!!!

FSH, TX

Arlene-think you left a few more lbs of your seed at the house here. I sincerly hope you get something for those seeds. I think you have enough to start your own rain forest.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Arlene,

I don't have anything to trade right now, but I'd be happy to help you pay for the watersorb crystals for a few of those Isabella X Butterfly seeds.

While I'm here, has anyone had the new brug that is supposed to have blooms that are split like ribbons? I'm ordering it anyway, but would really like to see a picture of it. The site where I'm ordering from doesn't have a picture posted. Just says it is NEW.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

they all still say Shredded white is new, make sure it isn't that one, cause I know in the spring some here will have it.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

brugman did you get my mail, tig?

And what a wonderful rain forest!!!! maybe we will have a "normal" spring and get some rain this year, must be about time.

brugman, i gotta ask you questions, i think i am getting all mail but i sure can't send mail yet!! frustrating!!!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I got it, just wrote you back. and girl, I don't think you could ever figure out how to be tacky!!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

tiG,
I already have shredded white anyway, thanks!! I've seen shredded white at Logees for a couple of years, at least. I just thought there might be a chance this was different and remembered someone talking about the white blooms on her brug that looked like they were all split. Was hoping to get her attention.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Ms. Brugie, the culebra blooms are white and split. i'll have to go to logees and look. will get back to you. i still can't send mail off my server, have to email you guys through here........

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

maybe Glorias shredded Jamacian yellow??

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Culebra and Shredded White are two different blooms. I don't think either of them looks like the blooms is split like ribbons though. I'm just going to ordered, heck, I already did, and we will see what it is next summer.

Catoosa, OK(Zone 7a)

HI Arlene,
I will help pay for the crystals if it means future generations of brug babies! :-)

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!!!!!

Arlene-e-mailed you several times. As for the shredded white-sure wish I knew you guys didn't have have shredded white as I would have sent you all some before these last frosts. I may still have some that aren't frost bitten, have to ck the other place. Shredded white is more of a twisted cabbage look with velvety leaves. Culebra has pendulum like splits in its corolla and the flower itself is much thicker.

CC, you ARE my pay pal!!!!!

Will catch up with everyone when my email is fixed, hopefully in a couple of hours..

Sent a few emails to you via that email address Arlene. Perhaps you can get a free hotmail account and access it from the public library? Don't laugh, thats how I accessed this site when my hdd was down. Public library and work...mostly work though.

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

Arlene,

I am new to these and the only thing I have are a few cuttings. I would be happy to help pay for your watersorb crystals. Just let me know how much and your address.
Also, everyone, today I purchased a cutting from a guy that said this one is a shredded Jamacian yellow. Supposed to be like the shredded white. Does anyone know where I can get a picture of it. I haven't come across it since I have been looking on the web (about the last 2 months or so) trying to get all the info I can on brugs. Dee

Dee,
I have a picture of a Shredded Jamican Yellow that I grew a few years ago...let me know if you want me to send the picture to you.
Gloria

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

I would appreciate it. I would like to see what I am trying to grow. Thanks, Dee

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Arlene I would like to have the opportunity to purchase seeds from you. I am new to this site and do not have anything to trade yet. I have some cuttings going now and next summer I should have numerous cuttings to trade or give.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

fke (what can we call you for short??) these are some great seeds!!! You'll be happy to get in on this, I planted some today and have more soaking.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Nice to meet you fkeonitz. I'd have to check the spelling each time I used your name, so tiG has a good idea asking if you have a shorter version. Arlene does some great things with her brugs, so have fun with the rest of us if she still has seeds. Glad you are here and will be looking forward to talking to you again.

Shirley

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Hi and thanks to all of your for the welcomes. I have been at this site for a couple of hours and I am already addicted to to. My name is Frances Keonitzer. I probably should have used a different ID name - I simply used my email address name (fkeonitz@swbell.net). I thought that would be the easiest, but now I can see how someone would have to look at the letters closely. My friends call me Frannie. Let me know if this will work better. Glad to be here with all of you!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Frannie, I think I can remember that!!! It won't take us very long to all remember! And we all trade together, so you'll see our online names and our real names used! So Welcome Frannie!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Great Frannie! This will be much easier. Glad you are here and enjoying yourself. It is addictive, so watch out. I find it is so easy to let the housework go and just have fun instead. Hope you have great luck with your cuttings and I'm sure you will get many more. I had about a dozen kinds last year and am up to about 30 now with some others ordered and those 1-1/2 doz. more came from all these nice people here. So, buckle your seat belt and get ready to become a "brug addict".

Shirley

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Welcome Frannie. This site consists of the best bunch of people that you'll ever meet.By this time next year you'll be filling every nook and cranny with Brugs.

Frannie,
You have mail!!!

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

welcome Frannie. You will love this site lot a good people here.We have a lot of fun hope you do too
Pete

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

you got mail!

Hamilton, Canada

Arlene,
I'm going to have to forgo the seeds unless you have some at the end of the month. The greenhouse is costing me more money than the estimate. Boy materials are NOT cheap. I saved a bundle by purchasing used thermal patio doors last year really cheap, but the new lumber and metal track plus roofing cost a small fortune. I maxed out my credit card to pay for it all.

Waaaaaaaaaaah, I wanted seeds so bad too.
Snivelling, pouted lips, running nose and all.
Joydie

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Jodie1, i am turning over the seeds to Ms Tig, who is an angel and has helped me and others so much. she will have them soon.

I'd like to thank everyone who helped with the watersorb fund, and to those special traders who slipped in a thoughtful token with an sase. Truly special people here. Brugmansia (B rugman) is our fearless leader and although it seemed awkward for me, there is no need for such a generous person to bare the burden of his years of experience and the purchase of those so expensive hybrids and fertilizer/supplies without spreading out the cost a little, in my mind, and you guys were great about it.

Glad you have your greenhouse, i am jealous... only need one about 5 nights a year but sure wish i had one! hoping for one by next winter. i have a couple of seed pods still ripening, inside on cuttings in water, if you want to send an sase for some of those.....
