More of the JO pods

This is another picture of the JO pods. You should be able to see the seed pods in several stages. I've gone around and pulled all of the calyxes off. I noticed today that 3 of the penduncles are changing color, woo hoo I can't wait.

WOW looking good pods!

Cala,
Don't you just hate having to wait for them to get ready?

I have some in the greenhouse and everytime I pass them I just want to pull them off and open them up. LOL

Gloria, I'm glad it's not just me then. I just want to rip them open and see what's inside. I try not to look at the penduncles more that 2 or 3 times a day, lol. I have tried not to pollinate any more, but I can't help myself. Those nice blossoms are just hanging there and I can't stop. Eric, see what you have started!! Now we're just a bunch of obsessive brug addicts.

Cala,
Lucky for me, I pulled the majority of my seedpods off the trees last night before the frost. Most were ready to come off with none of the tell tale sings. Can't wait to get home and see if the seepods themselves took a hit. Chances are the seeds themselves may have escaped damage although the outer pod may be damaged. Ie, they did not freeze completly through. The Flowers were solid as rocks though. Very pretty actually, flowers with frost glistening one each one. Personally, I think a picture taken of Brugmansia flowers with this frost and the morning sun gleaming on them would make an astounding picture.

Brugman, we need to buy you a digital camera.

Yes, I agree that we do. Wonder if the pawn shops would have any good ones that aren't too expensive? I will check around.

You guys are too much. Imagine-I have literally taken whole rolls of film only to discover not one came out descent. I will confess I don't have many named Brugmansia to take pictures of anymore as well. Seems all of my Brugmansia have been shapeshifting into Butterfly aurea's, Rosabells, Double Oranges, and such. I think my plants think the fewer types of plants the more of the same crosses you can make....Don't know what I am going to do with the 20 or so lbs of Double orange seed I expect to harvest mid spring or so next year, but it'll most likely go the same place as my aurea seeds....ie this forum and those that belong to the double pink group. As if there was any doubt.
