I think this weed was in some topsoil I purchased from Lowes a few years ago for my 3 raised beds. Now, it has grown throughout the raised beds and is like a thatch underneath the soil surface. I am wondering what it is called. The weed is yellowish and when I dug up one bed, I found a large yellow root about 1/2 inch wide growing across one bed. Does anyone recognize it from the picture?
