Hi, can you please ID this caterpillar hanging out on a canna flower for me? Michigan, zip code 49249. Thanks!

It appears to be in the subfamily Arctiinae of the family Erebidae. Possibilities include Spilosoma virginica (Virginian tiger moth) and Estigmene acrea (saltmarsh caterpillar) both are highly variable in appearance.
