Snap peas - white blemishes

Penticton, Canada

Does anyone know what causes these blemishes on snap peas? There seem to be tiny puncture marks, so I’m guessing a sucking insect? No insects visible on the plants, no mildew either.
Not a problem for us to eat, but they’re a hard sell at our tiny farm stand.

I think you are correct. Not sure how to control tho. Has to be something pretty harmless, maybe insecticidal soup spray.

Fine mold appears as white "fine" looking spots on the highest points of leaves. The plant's tissue under the powder spot can become dark or brown. Dark, oval fruiting designs can shape on mature spots. Fine mold presumably won't kill the plant, yet it will create less cases

The blemishes on snap peas with tiny puncture marks are likely caused by sucking insects, such as aphids or thrips, which can create those marks as they feed. Even if you don't see insects, they might be present in low numbers. Consider checking the undersides of leaves and the stems. To reduce the issue, you can use insecticidal soap or neem oil, or encourage beneficial insects like ladybugs.
