my dear, do you have a license for that agrosoak??

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

i'm an old hand at smuggling, connections to get licenses pre dated if needed....lol

this is supposed to be a joke. i am a law abiding person who has never been arrested and haven't had even had a traffic ticket since 1979. DS says i am getting old, he can tell cause i don't drive fast enough for him anymore.

Best way to ship pollen is on the flower itself attached to a small cutting-soak the cutting in water for a few days to allow it to get as much as it can take and pull all the leaves off-always ship priority mail or next day. Next day one can just send the anthers though. Also-one can simply dap on cotton swabs as well if its from a good rich pollen producer. If one can keep the pollen cool-via a cold pack-dry ice-etc that helps as well. I have some other methods I am trying to cook up involving wax and small bottles of water-stamens stuck inside vials of water etc...get back to you if any of my other idea's work.
Best get that deleted Arelene-somone might think you are serious.

Argh...I wish I had sent the pollen that way. I just pulled out the anthers. Brugcrazy, if that pollen doesn't work for you, I will send more.
I found a five gallon bucket of Agri-Soak at Knoxville seed. I will have to look up the price, but I know it was over $100. It was more than enough to do 2500 baskets. Wonder if some wanted to go in and buy one and split it amongst themselves. I will call and get the exact price today.
Since it's made in the USA, don't think we need an import license do we? Wonder if we need a water-saver permit?? Do we need an environmental impact statement? How many years should we study it's impact?
Sorry, just being silly. ;-)

isn't it a shame we can't joke without worrying? Wish I had the agrosoak to trade for those seed pods!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

tig, you can have all you want, if i trade for them.....

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

ah, I will help you grow some if you need, but you're the one going to all the trouble!! you just keep taking care of him so we can all get to that double pink.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

tig..... i still have maybe 70-80 at least seed pods on my plants!!!!!!!!!!!! i have planted some seeds experimentally. i can promise you i have seeds enough to send you all bunches already, JO, CG, DrS (these pods and flowers all look alike to me), isabella, suavolens white, X white, my frosty pink, maybe a couple on culebra, 3 on a versi white hybrid i posted a pic of a few weeks ago, several on XVP, nothing too exciting but i think brugman's X aurea kind of heavy pollen white is a dad of most, also jean pasco 15-20 seeds....

have 2 turning yellow on isabella, i am so proud i haven't picked them yet!!

Dont' know how it happened, but I listened to eric rambling just long enough to get hooked on seedlings!! There just seems like so much reward in knowing that you got it that far, hard to explain. I can't stop myself. I better go clear out the extra room and buy more lights, cause before spring, I'm going to need it:)

Arlene-sounds as if you have tons going on with the seeds you already have. these are just pink aurea type crosses on things like Dr.Sues, Solid Gold, etc. Your Culebra cross is my favorite though out of your garden. That is a superb hybrid indeed that is going to be forthcoming.
