Hi - we’ve seen a few of these spiders in our home in NC. Can someone help me identify what it is? This one is a little crushed but similar to what it was alive. Any help would be great. Thanks!
What spider is this?
Because of its condition, I cannot be certain of an identification, but it most certainly is nothing that would pose any danger to humans. That aside, it most likely is a grass spider (family Agelenidae).
Better photo if a live one. Grass spider?
Yes, it is a grass spider; likely in the genus Agelenopsis - see https://pbase.com/tmurray74/image/146513604 for an example.
Great. Thanks for your help!
