It's a non-biting midge in the family Chironomidae. See https://pbase.com/tmurray74/image/156478948 for an example.
Did some reading on non biting midge and I think you are correct. It’s amusing to me that me pest control guy said it was mosquitoes. Should probably hire someone else, ha
