Good morning farmers. We had another big storm with 40mph+ winds and drifting snow. Yesterday our neighbor plowed the driveway so our son could get out to drive home. Hubby plowed it again last night, then this morning the neighbor came again with his plow and got stuck in the big drifts. Hubby picked away at the snowbank from the lower side with our tractor bucket and finally had to pull him out with a chain on the tractor. Our neighbor has lived here for about 22 years and he said he has never seen snow like this. Hubby needed to get to work this morning and I was going to go to town and finish Christmas shopping, but I think I will stay home for a while and maybe go this afternoon. Meanwhile I need to work on Christmas cards, usually we have them mailed by now and I haven't even started. Tonight is the annual meeting of our irrigation ditch company. They meet at the little schoolhouse down the road from us. It is funny to think about irrigation water and hot weather when we are digging out from under waist deep snow. Have a great day everyone, count your blessings.
