Is my mystery plant a plum tree?

I bought a clearance plant that was marked as a cherry on the pot. The staff had no idea what kind of cherry. I live in subtropical zone 9b/10a so only tropical cherries grow well here. My plant ID app says it may be a plum but can't seem to make up its mind what kind. Could someone kindly help clear up the mystery?
