Preissel..English version

Northern Piedmont, NC(Zone 7b)

Just wondering if anyone has received the new English version...book report, please!

Jean

I ordered it the day Toby posted the # on Yahoo. Should be here very soon as they said they would mail it the next day. I can't wait and will let you know as soon as it arrives.

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Also ordered the same day it was posted.Nothing yet except an e-mail about a week ago saying it was going out that day.
If it was shipped the Canadian equivilent of US "media mail"it will be a long time in transit.

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Received the book---it is great!!!! Good information on hybridzing and growth habits of varieties. You will love it.

Barbara: Did you order it the same day as it was posted? When did you get it? Maybe mine will come today.

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

brugcrazy, I ordered mine on Friday. But paid express mail because I will be leaving for the holidays and to visit my first grandbaby--I wanted to take it with me to read so I paid an extra $10.00 to have it shipped express.

I never thought of doing that. Oh well. I'll be here for the holidays so hopefully will have it for Christmas.

JT,
My DH ordered it for me but can't get them to respond to an email letting him know if they received his fax or not.

Glory: maybe you should give them a call to find out for sure. Just leave a message and Lesley will call you back. They are in Ontario which is the same time zone as you I think.

My book arrived today. It's great. Now I just have to find time to sit down and read it.

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Glory, they did not respond to my email either. No order confirmation at all.I finally saw the charge made to my card and the next day there was an email saying it had been shipped.
And on that note...a gripe at some online companies.Customers need an order confirmation.Last week I ordered my tomato seed which need to go into the flats by January 15th.No confirm,no response to emails.I can't afford to take a chance so will order from another company.
My "S" list is getting really long.

JT,
Thanks for the info...passed it on to Santa(DH).

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Glory I faxed mine in and she responded the next day. I had my BIL do it from work. He had troubles with the number and eventually called her voice mail to get the correct number. I thought maybe Toby may have mixed the numbers up between the phone# & fax#. She wrote me from this address lesley@fireflybooks.com I think she's only at that address during work hours.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

That's it. I went and checked the PDF file. Toby mixed them up on one of the post ... these are the numbers

Fax 416-499-1142

Phone 416-499-8412

If she didn't respond and confirm your order she probably didn't get it.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

It's 6:30 here - just received mine too. Dinner will just have to wait.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Happy Birthday Brugcrazy!! Old enough to know better but young enough not to care.

Northern Piedmont, NC(Zone 7b)

Thanks everyone! I'll order it from Lesley tomorrow and maybe it will be here before New Year's. It's not available on amazon.com till after March...that's a long wait. Please drool a little for me when you flip through the pages and look at those gorgeous brugs!

Jean

It's a fabulous book with a ton of info. One thing to note: Says virus doesn't spread through seed. Second. A plant with a virus will not root from cuttings.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

JT,
The book arrived today.

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

I'm confused - Do you have to email her AND call her? Someone help me!!!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I think most did it because she doesn't want you emailing her your credit card number, you can give it to her over the phone.

Northern Piedmont, NC(Zone 7b)

sarv, I talked with Lesley yesterday and my book is to be shipped today. It won't be here for Christmas, but at least I will have something to look forward to later.

Anyone want to trade for the German version? Lol, I think I am going to have to break down and get the english version as well. I'm excited for all of you! Santa Clause came early for me too though-Fish emulsion, Ironite, etc-all wrapped in individual packages....

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

she knows you well Eric!!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I got mine today!!!DH said I can't see it till Cristmas but I sniveled, and whinned and sniveled some more.IT WORKED!!!I love it!Although the little that I read ,there was a statement that I didn't agree with.It says the seedlings don't get any "toothing" on the leaves until they are 20" tall,I have one seedling which can't be 8" and its leaves have indentations already. Its a Aurea hybrid, would that make a difference? Or am I misunderstanding whats in the book?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I know that's not true with sanguinea seedlings, mine are less than 8" and have great looking leaves.
