Chewy Macadamia Nut Cookies

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

3/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup white sugar
1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
Cream and then add:
1 large egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Sift together:
2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Mix all together well and add:
1 cup chopped macadamia nuts
1-1/2 cups toffee bits
Bake at 350 degrees just until the edges of the cookies begin to brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool a couple of minutes on the cookie sheet. Remove to foil to cool completely. Great dunkers and sooooo chewy. I tried some with Heath bits that have the chocolate on them and they were great too.

Enjoy and Happy Holidays to you all!!
