Fayette, MO(Zone 6a)

Well, I finally located my missing calves and got them home yesterday. We only have a two horse trailer to haul our livestock so we have to make two trips to haul the 5 calves. After the first 3 calves were unloaded and my husband tried to pull out we got stuck.. Lucky for us our renter was here to get his tractor out of the bottom before it rained. So he pulled us right out with his 4440 JD. Amazing the power in those big tractors. Especially considering the truck had the horse trailer on the back and the tractor had a very large disc hooked up.
Hubby also bought a couple of older cows at the livestock auction yesterday. They are both in their second period so will hope for Spring Calves. One older hereford and and small angus cow.
We are off to Kirksville Mo today to start moving some of our youngest daughter's belongings. She graduates from college on the 22nd and wants to move out the day of graduation so we are going to go on and get boxes that she has already packed. It will be such a relief for her to be out of school.
Sun is finally up here. I am anxious for more daylight hours. anyway I'm off to check on my cows, ponies, goats, sheep and and ...... then another cup of hot coffee.
May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You.
