I think we should start 4 new threads.The first being what we have,list all the brugs we have with no chit chat,The second being what we have available,the third being what we want.Then just maintain you listings by editing.This way,with no chit chat on the lists the threads won't become so long that we won't be forever looking for someones list.Then have the 4th list with the usual "I'm offering this for this" and "you've got mail" type of thing.This way if we want to try to make certian hybrids,and you don't have the flower or pollen doner you want ,you look at the list,find what your looking for ,and e-mail asking for a flower or Q-tips with pollen from that plant,or cuttings if available.Would this work?I think it might hurry things along for alot of people.Also the newer people would know whats out there available for postage or what ever,and not ask embarassing questions like "can I have the latest european hybrid for postage and we have to explain type thing" What da ya think???Also When we edit the listing they would get bumped back up near the top again right?

excellent ideas CC. the only thing is they don't get bumped when edited, but a simple 'bump' at the bottom of the thread would work, and keep the editing in your original post. I love the idea of us sharing the pollen, this is making me even more excited about spring than ever. Do you think it's possible for this group to not chitchat though?? LOL!!! yes of course, this is business, eh?? It's amazing how the hunt for that double pink got us to move into action and make our own plans:)
Question..... Are we going to keep it so cuttings,seeds and pollen will be aveilable to anyone who wants them or is it going to be for people whom are working for the goal of getting a double pink??? I like the Idea of limit about of chit chat on the list thread

I wish there was an area in daves, kinda like our home page that we could do this in ,but its a pain in the butt to keep clicking on some ones name ,then go here and there,and finally go through their list.And sift through the other plants.Guess I'm just lazy.I don't see why the pollen doner thing wouldn't work.People can keep their plant intact and still contribute to the Hybridization.I just don't know how long the pollen is good,or at what stage a doner flower would be right.Maybe this is not going to work.But I figure even if it just helps with our trading.And no ,I don't think we can keep all the chit chat off those specific list,cause we all love to do it,but the less on it the eaiser the lists will be to access. Treat it with respect-like a bible,the whos who of our brug club with the plants being the characters
It would be the owner discretion on the donation or trade.No one should be made to feel bad if they don't want to contibute.Also we are all working on other hybrids, reds,etc...So instead of someone waitin a year or so for a baby brug to bloom we could hurry the proccess along.A promise of some seeds or seedlings could be offered as payment for the doner,also everyone would be on their honor,being truthful.As far as I can tell all the members of this group seem generous to a fault!!!Always sending what someone needs or wants if they have it so I don't feel that will be a problem.
Excellent idea - crestedchick, do you have a format we can follow? Rather than a random list, should we list by singles/doubles, color? Plants/cuttings/pollen?
I know my lists are a jumble and it'd force me to do some homework on the ones I haven't had bloom yet.
And maybe 'on order'? I, as do alot of others have plants we've ordered for spring delivery
Never would have thought of those !!!You guys are good.I'll try to work on a format,any ideas will be helpful.the "on Order" thing will be good to.I also think before we order thinks we should post it on our want list ,saying I'm going to order this or that from so and so.Someone might have a cutting of what your ordering for trade or postage,and they might not have updated their list.I have a lot of homework to do,Sit down and figure out exactly what I have.
