I've been using those 3ft diameter mats with a hole in the center cut out to accommodate the tree. They look like brown mulch but I'm sure its just recycled tires.
What i would really like to find would be 5 foot diameter versions of the same thing. Does anyone know if they exist?? Now i have to go spread real mulch and that's one chore i hate.
