Just wondered whether I should put this post here or not since it's not a recipe. Maybe this forum should just be called 'Food"!! Anyhow, how long will it take a 14lb turkey to defrost in the fridge in the garage and how long will it keep after it has defrosted?? I always heard that 4 days is sufficient for defrosting but I'm not so sure. I've never bought a frozen turkey before!! If I take it out of the freezer today for instance, will it still be OK to cook on the 25th Dec. thanks!!
