it was a sucker growing up out of a root about a foot from the mama.....
dug up the seedling.... it wasn't from a dropped seed

well, i have it potted. wonder how that happened? if i knew i could just cut out babies instead of rooting them. btw, never had a winter without some frost, some are just nicer than others. coldest i remember was 10F. last year was a booger, a week of 16-20 at night and highs in the 40s.
