noticed this am next to X versi peachy... i think it is.
is this a baby brug that needs more light and fertilizer?
kinda hard to see, it would be a seed from eric's X versi, light peach crossed with probably jutner orange, maybe frosty pink, maybe something else, maybe his X white that has isabella type pods.... i think this is a volunteer from dropped seeds when i harvested the first pod. then again, maybe it's a new weed i haven't seen before. gonna pot and fertilize, it doesn't get much sun where it is.
Arlene, symptoms of virus usually are spots or streaking. This looks more like a deficiency or maybe not enough light. Cool weather makes the leaves lighter too. Give it some warmth, more sunlight and a little Mir-Acid and see if it helps. Even our ferns in the greenhouse look lighter color in the winter due to less light and cooler temps. They always green up in the spring especially when we give them epsom salts. Since brugs are in the tomato family and tomatoes like epsom salts, wonder if that would green them up.
Sorry, I'm rambling again. (I caught it from Eric)
thanks, i am going to put it in a pot. I really wanted confirmation that it is a brug!!!!!!!!!!! i haven't started many from seeds. tonny may be right too, may have aurea in it as my heaviest pollen was on a brugman X with aurea in it.
i thought it was interesting it came from a dropped seed......
Arlene: Sure looks like a brug seedling to me. Lots of them come up paler. Put it in a gallon pot with some osmocote and give it more light. It should do wonderfully for you. I have found that certain crosses/hybrids especially if they have yellow flowered parents come up much paler. Am I making sense?
perfect sense! thanks
