more FP pods

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

If y'all get tired of seeing these, just skip over them. I can't promise not to post any more. I'm just so excited that Brugman told me how and now I can't quit pollinating everything that opens. I had a few that didn't take and I was so disappointed (I only have about a hundred pods, can you believe I was sad when some fell off?)
The calyxes always fall off of the Frosty Pink too. The little pod is so tiny to start with. These pods are short and fat and a bit lumpy.

Keep them coming Cala. They are very helpful. I have a FP and a JO so these pics show me what to look for next year when I get busy with the Brugs.I don't have a EP yet but it's on my wish list for next year. Thanks for sharing these pictures.

No, Calalily, keep on posting these wonderful pictures. I share your excitement and have not felt so much alive as I do tonight :) I have been up most all night working and your postings have made it a wonderful night.

Agapanthus
Eric said to wait till the penduncle turns yellow. The penduncle is the little stem thingy that holds the pod to the main stem. The pods take months to mature. I've been waiting since August for my first JO pods to ripen.

Stem thingy makes perfect sense. The cover around the pod is yellow and split, but pod inside is still bright green and stem thingy is still very firm. Weather for next week is still above 32 w/60/70 temps during day. Thanks for info.:)
