This is a Jutner Orange pod. That's a flower bud in front, the pods are behind and also to the right of the bud. I can always tell if the seed are going to set, the calyx stays on and stays green. It splits as the pod grows.
JO pod
Great pictures Cala. Thanks for posting them.
I read in here recently that Jutner Orange is the same plant as Charles Grimaldi.
Can anyone else confirm that??
Owen
Oh, how I liked to grow out Charles Grimaldi, Jutner Orange and San Francisco to see, if Monika is right.
Monika is one of the best brugs experts in Europe and I take her word for it.
I`m a little peculiar, because even if I take her words for granted, I simply has to go through her experience to see, if I come to the same result.
My theories of Datura taxonomy and nomenclature was created by reconstructing all the exsperiences and experiments carried out by botanists of the past up to the modern investigations carried out right now.
In some cases my results were different. But I had also all the advantages on my site. The amount of info today is vast and many past botanists had seeds of maybe 1-2 sources of every species. I have between 10-30 sources of each species.
Are JO and SF of german or US origin *lol*
they look the same to me, dr seuss looks a lot like them too. if i were to start over, i wouldn't get all three!LBJ has either CG or JO being a 2 inch bigger plant, i can't see that difference either. probably all were the same cross by different people... i guess, i don't think JO has been around near as long as CG.
Thanks for the input folks....think I will jest stick with a CG and forget about the JO and Dr. Seuss....some friends want brugs, so will give them ones to them and make 'em happie:)
Have been enhjoyin all the postings in hear, but my durn hemhroids keep trying to crawl down my legs and that makes it hard to sit hear bi the puter:) Cant type and scratch those durn things at the same time:)
Maybe some brug linament would make em curl up and go back up in thear, you suppose?
Owen
Owen,
Maybe you should try getting rid of them like you do the lice....LOL
