I seem to be having an early Christmas this year!! They were nice big rooted cuttings, still fresh and crispy when they got here. I potted them right up and put them in the green house. Thank you so much Eric, you're a sweet heart. I can't wait for my Hodniks order to get here so I can send yours to you.
Thank You Eric
LOL!! you probably just got what I sent you!!! At least that will make it easier to hybridize:)
Glad your plants arrived okay and I can't wait to begin hybridizing with some new plants. Setting seeds and finding new pollen...what could be greater? Perhaps watching as each seedling threw out its first flush of flowers? Then of course the pleasant surprise when the second flush turns a darker shade of pink or peach....Ahh, life is grand.

Life is grand especially with brugs blooming in the greenhouse. Insignis gold is covered in buds and should bloom soon. It was a cutting in August and it's got 15 blooms on it, the sanguineas are putting out new buds. Two sanguineas that I started from seed 6 months ago have buds on them. And x knightii has more buds coming.Peaches and cream is covered in small buds, LBJ hybrid from seed has buds. And I live in the far north. Gotta love it. The big question is with whom do I pollinate who?
Insignis gold is a very nice shade of gold/orange this time of year in the garden. Nice fat short seedpods on that one and I must confess one I think would be good to cross with knightii.
Brugman, my thanks to you too!!!!!!looking hard for something you don't have.
