Dec 6

Good afternoon all! I just realized it is St. Nicholas day. Did any of you ever celebrate that holiday? I'm not sure if that was a Catholic tradition or a German Catholic tradition or what? When we were kids, we would get bags of candy and oranges from a neighbor who dressed up like St. Nick and we were supposed to recite prayers for him. Can't remember when we stopped that tradition.

Abby, our smart dog (???) the border collie, was missing last night when I was calling her. Finally came back all out of breath. She starts chasing rabbits and just keeps chasing until she loses them or catches them. I think she forgets how far away from home she gets. She always knows she's in trouble if she doesn't come when she's supposed to. We let her run loose when we're outside doing chores. She is supposed to be there to help us "herd" if needed.

It is cooler and windy out but still very nice for December with temp in 40's.

Well it's time to go check the mail and see what exciting things are in there (yeah right - just bills). You all take care and have a great day.
