Definitely not Gulf Fritillary caterpillars. Probably a moth such as Automeris genus. But cats /larva can be very difficult to ID.

I wonder if I should try to raise a couple of them .................. and find out or just wait and find out the natural way
I do believe that, thanks to your help.I could close this thread

BTW
They are using a hibiscus plant , temperatures drop over 20 degrees in just a day , no humidity

Try raising a couple. Its fun and satisfying when it works out. Some of the moth cats can cause a nasty sting (formic acid) so use caution when handling.
You might be able to get an ID on BugGuide.net where John and Jane Balaban ID caterpillars.
