Awards and Brugie :-)

My awards arrived today and they are so nice. Thank you Zany and Dave as well as anyone else involved in making this contest so much fun. I'm the one in the Charles Grimaldi tee shirt. :-) If you come to my home, I'll be in tees and jeans 99% of the time. Jim tried hard to get the plaque to show up so you could see what it looks like. I knew what my part in the picture would look like before he even started. This was a fun experience and I hope that a lot of new brug growers will put their pictures up for us to see next season. Thank you all for making me feel so welcome here and again, thanks to everyone who made this contest so much fun.

It's finally nice to meet you....girl you look great. Congrats on the award...it is just beautiful. I think I will print all the pictures and put them in a folder just in case I forget what y'all look like.

Brugie, i gotta say this, you look like my grandma. i am about your age, i mean, you favor her and i think that is really cool. she was an attractive woman, you favor her as she was at your age. you don't have robbins in your background do you? good pic, good smile, good heart. and you sure had beautiful brugs this summer.

This was so much fun! I am so glad the awards arrived safe and sound. You were both great sports to post the pictures and it is great to see our wonderful friends faces!

Shirley, It is so good to meet you.You look really great for just having surgery a short time ago.You should'nt have worried so about having your picture taken. Thanks you all for your nice comments. I can't believe Arlene found that brug. I have a tray of them sitting there, just kind of in limbo for the winter. Now, Terry, since we put our pictures up we can bug everyone else to get one posted too. Geez, we didn't even have to spend our brug money on actresses and it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be.

Good photo Brugie and it's nice to finally put a face with the name and all the emails!! Hope you're recovering nicely from the surgery and congrats on the award, that was a beautiful brug.

Congratulations again and a great photo. Hope surgery pains are about gone and you're ready for a big holiday.

I'm not ready for the Holidays yet, but if we could push the calendar ahead to April, I'd be in the greenhouse and garden in a flash. I'm getting a little sick of the house already.

Y'all have seen me right? So no need to post another photo? DD is sneaky and took my photo and posted on DG. (I didn't think I needed to hide my password from family for goodness sake) She also thinks it great fun when they sing Happy Birthday at church to reveal my age.

Nope Shirley, it did'nt hurt a bit. With all that money we saved on the actresses we should be able to get some of those exotic beautiful Brugs from overseas. Now to just find a company that will send them to us before it becomes too costly.Calalily, I don't remember ever seeing your picture either. Would love to meet you in person.

Brugie is the wonderful lady that got me started with cuttings. Lots of fun getting them across the border too.
I have been lurking here for a few months now with little to contribute as I am new at growing Brugs or anything else save for a few vines and the odd tomato. I discovered Brugmansias on a trip to South Carolina and it was love at first site. I bought my first plant in the spring and it caused me to want more. I have certainly learned a lot from reading DG and even more from Shirley.
You are a lovely lady Shirley and don't let me hear you complain about that picture it's great!

Thanks tiG. I enjoyed meeting everyone in CHAT this morning. That was the first time I have ever entered a 'chat room' it certainly was filled with interesting and friendly people.
