This bird is hanging about in my front garden. Cornell couldn’t ID. I live in north east Maryland. Any help would be appreciated. Orange eye ring. Orange Beal, thick short orange legs. Striking black eye mask that descends on to v shape on chest. Pronounced side strips, stubby tail.
Ok. Looks like this is a Chukar partridge. So. Not indigenous to Md. Sometimes raised as game birds. Guess this buddy is way lost.
