Christmas Squares / Cookies etc

What is everyones favorite Christmas sweet to make? Lets share family favorites. My boys couldn't do christmas without;
Almond Shortbread
1 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons almond extract
2 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
In a large bowl, beat butter with 1/2 cup sugar and almond extract till fluffy. With wooden spoon, stir in flour until smooth and well combined. Divide dough into 2 parts. Refrigerate, covered for about 2 hours.
Preheat oven 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
Press into unprepared 9x9 square pan.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until light golden brown around the edges.
I cut these into small squares and decorate with a drop of melted chocolate topped with an almond sliver. Very pretty and delicious too!
