Resurrection Plant, Rose of Jericho, Flower of Stone (Selaginella lepidophylla)
Oh wow, that's a really interesting plant you've got there! If you're fascinated by plants that have unique survival mechanisms, you might also love the Rose of Jericho. It's commonly known as the Resurrection Plant because of its insane ability to seemingly 'come back to life'. When it's without water, it curls up into a ball and looks totally dead. But give it some water, and within hours, it unfurls into a vibrant green plant. I recently came across this care guide that provides insights into its history, symbolism, and how to look after it and other rose planting tips on https://natureofhome.com/rose-of-jericho-care-resurrection-plant/ Definitely worth a look if you're into such fascinating flora!

It is not a rose. Its common name of 'rose of Jericho' is because the biblical city of Jericho would be reborn thru the ages just like this plant is reborn when you add water to it after it has been dried up for long time. It gets resurrected. I think the 'rose' part of the common name comes from its rose shape after you rehydrate it and it unfurls from its dried out ball and opens up like a rose.
