Would love to find

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I would love to have these brugs: Rosabella, Butterfly, Tropical Sunset and Grand Mariner. I know the brugs I have rooted are just plain, but I have a few passifloras and lots of perennials I would be willing to trade. (hostas, daylilies, hardy ferns, pulmonarias, tricyrtis, phlox paniculata etc)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Cala, I will start you a Rosabella and Butterfly. They should be ready by spring. Don't have the others, sorry.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Calalily - I have Grand Marnier. Email me

Susie,

I'll have Tropical Sunset in the spring if you don't get it before then.

tiG, if you have enough Rosabella to start one for me for spring, I'd sure appreciate it. I'll have some new ones to share a little later like Tiara, L'Amour, and Angel's Dream. I'll have others too, but don't know what you already have. Thanks......

S.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I'll start you a Rosabella if you'll start me a L'Amour. :)

Callia....Looks like you got all you were looking for...WTG.

What does Roseabella look like?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

tiG

I'll sure do that, but have to wait to receive the plant if that is okay.....heck that is the only way it will work on this end. I'm most anxious for the double pink and double yellow. Can't wait for spring. I'm in no hurry for any new ones right now. Will be fun just trying to find room for all the new ones I already have, thanks to all of you on DG, next spring.

Thanks tiG!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I've never seen a picture, but went on the description from Hodniks catalog. Aurea hybrid - Rosabella: hanging flowers intense pink, spiced perfume very particular

Sounds good, huh??

Wish I had more money to place an order with Hodniks now before the first of the year changes come. There is hot debate on how much the phyto rules changing will affect our purchases from over there. Some are seeing it as long waits and the plants not surviving, but no one is absolutey sure yet.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Guess I need to get an order into Hodniks before the first of the year then. You are all so generous. I never dreamed I would get so many replies. I'll let everyone know what I order and start some for everybody.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

gee, i am getting the bug, drooling over all these pretties....trying to resist orderilng from hodnik's myself. i hope i have something you guys want to trade for in a couple of months.......

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I checked out Hodniks and would like to order but am I missing something. Is there a US part to the site? How do you know what the cost and S&H will be? How do you order from them I guess is my question>

(Zone 6a)

good questions snowhermit. I am gonna just send an email to Gommers next spring and tell em what I want and how much I should send. they answered my recent email and said they understood English. haha

Ich nicht sprechen Deutsch!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Gommers doesn't mail to US. I talked to Eric and he said for about 5 or 6 plants the total would be about $70-80. That includes the phyto cert. and shipping. He also said that in his experience it's best not to order more than 6 (could be 9, but I think he said six)
If you email Hodniks your order and put your credit card number on there, you get the fastest service, it's easier for them to just take it all down at once. He's ordered several times, and that's been his experience. There is an entire list of what they have in the thread "brugie get well soon" or something close to that 2 pages back that I started. Beginning is in German (?) and second part is in English.

(Zone 6a)

Thanks for the info. guess I will say bye to Gommers then:)

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

anyone else with butterfly, tropical sunset or Rosabella, i would love to get clippings from them also, can try to find a good trade.....

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Arlene, you have given me so much. I will start you a butterfly and Rosabella also. They're still very small, but putting off three shoots so I'll have one for each of us. I'll hug em and squeeze em.......
All these promises made baring any catastrophe, which losing one of these would be to me!!!

FSH, TX

Shoot,
I would have traded double oranges for promises of Double pinks and L'amour in the future. Always get into things too late though. I have extra Rosabella, Butterfly, and Tropical sunset laying around fully rooted....Darn and double darn.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

there's no double pink on this list is there/????? Does Hodniks have a double pink on their list? I'm hoping that Native Habitat has one and if they do, it's yours. Nothing in return.

FSH, TX

Tig,
Thats nice, but I have to trade. At the very least I would have to send you rooted cuttings from anything you sent me and offer seeds or seedlings from it if it were not a direct trade. Sorry, thats just me. I do appreciate the offer very much so though. Native habitat has some nice double peach hybrids though. I have seen of these in person a few years ago. I fell in love with one with a very thick substance to the flower. As thick as it was it may or not be a good seed setter, but it did have good pollen if memory served me correctly. I think this Brug fever is going to do me in one of these days.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I'll let you know what they have when the catalog gets here and decide then. Maybe they have a double pink you don't know about:) You keep talking about a double pink, give us a name to search for!!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Eric, what about Angel's Dream? I have someone ordering me one for in the spring. Is that a pink double you had admired?

FSH, TX

Tig,
If you get Angel's Dream I would most certainly trade you for a rooted cutting. I can send you out rooted Hg or Butterfly to reserve a place for it now if you would like.In addition, I can send you a rooted cutting from Angels dream after I have grown it for a few months and or send you seeds started from it either as a pollen donor or seed setter.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

no, don't send anything now. I hope to get it in the spring, if it's still available. But it's on my short list. I would rather have seeds that you crossed from it if this works:)
If it was on Hodniks list, I'd order it today and get it soon :(

FSH, TX

I can send you seeds started from it and a cutting from it rooted or not if that would work? How about half of the seeds from its first flush of seeds produced with pollen or as the seed producer or both and a cutting or two from the parent plants?...Am I confusing you yet? 1/2 of the first seeds produced with it as pollen donor and seed setter and cuttings from everything I use for setting seed to it and vice versa? Thats my final offer.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

LOL!! Are you meeting Arlene with pollen? Can you take her a Butterfly?? That would make me happiest. If you've already met, I'll figure something else out.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Eric,

I'm getting the double pink in the spring and will still save you a cutting or two if you need it. Hope you get it before and get a jump start on producing some new hybrids.

S.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

LBJ has a picture of Roseabelle and so does the Gommer site. Neither picture is as pink as they say it is.

FSH, TX

Tig,
I was going to meet Arlene with the pollen...lol-can't risk sending white powder in the mail right now....At anyrate, she never emailed me to confirm so I don't think this is going to happen today. Brugie, you guys are all too kind and thanks bunches. Darn work is the only place I can get on this computer and this is my last break of the day.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Eric, i missed you !! sorry, have a busy weekend, and trying to decide. have a bunch more buds, 2 more starting, will post a new pic in a few minutes. tig, you are a dear Queen. BTW, i only have 2 pots in my house, gonna take them out right now!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I have the native habitat catalog. They have double peach and creamsickle

FSH, TX

Arlene,
Its okay-I had a busy weekend as well. Had to drive to St.Aug and just got back. Well work something out though.

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

I found a link to Hodniks that some one had posted and it was in French. How do you read the catalogue. Most everyone here has been so good to share with me I feel I owe most of you some cuttings. I'm thinking I will tell my kids about the site and let them order me something for Christmas. Does any one have any suggestions? I don't want to order something that everyone has but something that we could all have cuttings from. While I'm posting here I have one that I've had for about 4 years and it's blooms are yellow and it has a lemon smell. Anyone know what the name of it might be.If the kids come through I want get the socks and shorts that I usually get. I can do with out them I need Brugs.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Jim, in the thread "Brugie take care" there is a list of what Hodniks has. The first part is in French, but English follows. Get some goodies:)

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Thanks tiG. Send me a list of things that you don't have. I don't want to order some that you have but some that I can share with you and others.
I know you, Calla and Brugmansia have sent me Brugs and I would like to have something that I share with them also.
