Jewel, I had to laugh - skinny butted indeed! We had one big old red cow who weighed 1544 - VERY large in our herd, the average runs around 1250, I think - and the nutritionist was always telling Stan she was TOOO THIN!!! I guess he wasn't really looking or it was too early in the morning for him!

We are still rainy, but warm. the low over night was supposed to stay in the 50s - down right balmy for here at the end of November. My daughter in southern Kentucky said they were starting to talk about Arks. She was going to have to find a new way home, as the road she usually takes is closed due to flooding.

Stan has been working on mats and mattresses in the barn and he's almost done. He had to order some more fabric to put over the mattresses that are left, and putting in the mats is just yucky - the first bunch fell apart and the crud under them is unbelievable.

I have to take some soil samples to the coop Ext. this morning and then buy groceries. O joy...
