Arlene and Brugman - this is beautiful. I think I have one. Is the flower as white as the picture. As mine is only a baby it's wonderful to see what it's supposed to look like.
Thanks - Liz

Gorgeous, what else can be said.

i was impressed it had 11 bloom at once, on first bloom....fingers crossed hoping it turns pea vine blue!!!

Now wouldn't that be nice.

Arlene,
Beautiful....will the flowers turn peachy later or does it stay white?

FSH, TX

Wonderful indeed-I have another that is more of a candida shape with pinwheel colors coming in shades of peach-pink with yellow ribbons. Which is that one-looks much like the Dr.D or 165 in shape-does it get any color or is that one of my white hybrids. I had so many that refused to change colors for me. Still, I think the second flush is often better than the first.

waiting to see if it changes color.....

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I say soak the roots in a bucket of water and blue food coloring, let the color come out in the flower!!!Like kids do in elementary!!!Who knows,it might not even look good in blue. The white is beautiful!!

Ever seen the commercial where the little girl is watering the flowers on the windowsill with freshie? If you're going to try it anyway, freshie is cheap and comes in blue and purple. Maybe you could water it with freshie? Let us know if you experiment with this /Regards Annie

Ok...I don't want any laughing but I just did that...feed a white Brug with red food coloring for a very long time but when it bloomed it bloomed white........I just had to give it a try. :0)

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Did you try it while it had blooms???I would think it would have to be when it was blooming since it would be a purely temporary thing. They do it with carnations and stuff like that ,just wonder if it will work with an uncut flower or if the roots filter it out.

i was wondering how that experiment turned out gloria, lol

Arlene,

You do such good work with your brugs. You should definitely be very proud.

it is wonderful. can't wait to see second day pics and what it will do. Is this the one you sent as Erics white?

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

no tig, i think i sent you one that makes very heavy pollen. not a seed pod anywhere until that thing bloomed. it is pretty, think it has some aurea in it.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Cala, is the Brugman's other white versi...i think this is better than cypress gardens, just what i think.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Arlene, Are the white hybrid seeds you sent me from this plant or another? Have 5 seedlings up so far.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Arlene, I got one from Gloria (I think) that was marked Brugmansia's Hybrid white, wonder if that's it?

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

No, this one still lives in a 2 gallon pot and didn't bloom until very late. the one that set all the seeds had the heaviest pollen of any of my brugs, was fragrant, steady bloomer and looked suavolens, don't know the daddy and can't remember the parentage..but i think was the same parentage that produced the versi Xs.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Arlene, Your brug flowers are so pretty. Never get tired of looking at them.
