These look amazing! I didn't think it was possible to grow them in the US. Are they difficult to grow?

They're not difficult to grow so long as one can provide a warm, humid environment. They appreciate rich soil and respond to fertilizer applications. These were grown from seed and remained fairly small through their first season. When chilly weather arrived in November, they went dormant, and were overwintered indoors. They didn't reawaken until April. Now that the weather outside has fully warmed (June), they are growing at a fast rate. Things slow down a little when the air becomes dry, but when a few days of rain arrive, they climb in leaps and bounds. Given what I've witnessed thus far, these can probably survive in the ground up to Zones 8-9 with adequate protection (e.g. mulching), but should be container grown elsewhere.

yea looking at your seedling pictures, it look like it took a couple of months for them to get started. year 2 looks promising though, very fast growth rate now that they seem established. I'm interested in growing these myself, how can I get started? Also have you had a pleasure of picking some of these leaves for soup yet?

I obtained seeds from Vietnam, which was not easy. Unfortunately, I have no more seeds at this time. Hopefully, my plants will flower and produce seeds this season or next. They are not yet mature enough to take good cuttings. The leaves are delicious, but I am not harvesting many so the plants can gain energy and mature faster. When I do have seeds and cuttings available to share, I will definitely add them to my list.
