Good morning, everyone ~
Frosty, chilly, cold! Lisa, sure do miss living in The South! I don't think I owned a jacket when I lived in GA - just a few sweaters and a sweat shirt or two. Really, not cold by snow-state-standards, but ... well, and a few months ago I was sniveling about the 100* + temps! We usually get a day or two in the upper 70's/low 80's in December - just enough to get the crocus to come up ;-) Maybe I'll be happy then... Looks like a cold one this year- maybe we'll have enough "cold days" for a spectacular peach season next summer. I hope so!
Marching Band season is over, and so is Cross Country Running, so maybe DH and I will get a break from being the family bus drivers. I have 3 more weeks of school, then finals, and - and - I think I'm not taking any classes next semester- I forgot what it's like to do homework and study for finals! I'm too old for this!
(Lisa & all, thanks for always thinking of me when I'm afk for a few days)
The drive to Disneyland was really nice - saw farmers on their tractors before dawn, and the sun rise over fresh-sown fields. Saw vinyards that stretched for miles and extended across the valley all the way to the foot-hills. Saw a b'zillion miles of irrigation ditches. Saw cattle of all shapes and sizes - black and brown and red and white with horns and polled and, of course, *smelled* them, too ;-)
Blessings, everyone. Drive safe and take care in all this wild winter weather.
