In my zeal to spot new bird species, I often zoom in on birds in flight, keeping them in focus while they choose a tree perch. This little guy looks like he might be a juvie, but that's as far as I got. Any help?

An adult? I didn't get a frontal view on the first bird, but they certainly don't look like the same species. Can somebody elaborate?
